ONEflight Myrtle Beach Classic Round 2

The Dunes Golf and Beach Club showed its teeth during a grueling second round at the ONEflight Myrtle Beach Classic, utilizing shifting wind patterns to create a fascinating battle of attrition that compressed the upper tier of the leaderboard. Navigating the tricky conditions with magnificent poise, South Korea's S.Y. Noh backed up his opening-day brilliance with a highly efficient, steady under-par loop to maintain his place at the summit of the tournament. Noh's exceptional distance control kept his ball entirely out of the penal coastal hazards, allowing him to protect his advantage as the greens firmed up. He faced a fierce afternoon push from Scotland's Robert MacIntyre, who put on a spectacular short game exhibition to grind out a tough score and stay glued to the direct share of the lead. Meanwhile, the international contingent made a significant move as South Africa's Thriston Lawrence and Finland's Sami Välimäki executed a series of brilliant iron approaches to climb straight into the final-weekend conversation alongside an aggressive Alejandro Tosti. Pierceson Coody and Patton Kizzire weathered their fair share of back-nine turbulence but executed key recoveries over the closing holes to safely secure their positions inside the chasing pack.
