McIlroy’s objective was to protect his record-breaking cushion, and while his lead was trimmed, he carded a disciplined 1-under-par 71 to reach 13-under-par. Despite a rare bogey on the 12th hole after finding Rae's Creek, he recovered with a clinical birdie on the 15th to ensure he will sleep on the lead for the third consecutive night. The round was a display of aggressive charges and tactical resilience. Tommy Fleetwood emerged as the primary challenger, carding a brilliant 6-under-par 66 to move into second place at 10-under-par. Fleetwood's round was highlighted by a near-albatross on the 13th, setting the stage for a dramatic European showdown in the final pairing. Patrick Reed remained in the hunt at 8-under-par following a steady 70, while Scottie Scheffler surged into the top five with a late-afternoon 67. The session was marked by firm, fast conditions that saw several players struggle with three-putts, but the top of the leaderboard remains a star-studded affair heading into the final round.
