Ford Championship presented by Wild Horse Pass Round 2

Lilia Vu delivered a clinical performance to seize the lead at the Ford Championship, carding a bogey-free 10-under 62 to reach 18-under par for the tournament. Starting the day five shots back, the American used a hot putter to notch eight birdies and a spectacular eagle on the par-5 11th. Vu’s ability to "scorch" the back nine allowed her to bypass a crowded leaderboard and establish a two-shot cushion heading into the weekend. Overnight leader Lydia Ko struggled to replicate her Thursday magic, battling to a 4-under 68 to sit in solo second at 16-under. While Ko remained bogey-free for the first 32 holes of the tournament, a dropped shot on the 15th slowed her momentum. Nelly Korda stayed firmly in the hunt for her record-extending sixth consecutive win, posting a steady 65 to sit in third at 15-under, while defending champion Hyo Joo Kim remained in the mix at 14-under. The cut fell at a remarkably low 6-under par, highlighting the elite scoring conditions in the desert, and claiming notable names such as Rose Zhang and Lexi Thompson.
